Obama, Clinton back PHL’s bid for rules-based solution to maritime spats

The Philippines was reassured of support from the United States for its bid to draw up strong international rules to peacefully address maritime disputes in the Southeast Asian region. US President Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton not only discussed with President Benigno Aquino III military and security issues but also enhancement of economic cooperation between the two countries.
